Antonio Ruiz

Antonio Ruiz (Tony) is a payments and fintech executive focused on building payment
infrastructure and strategic partnerships across Latin America. As Head of Business
Development at Starpago, he works with PSPs, acquirers, banks, fintechs, and
international merchants to develop and scale local payment channels across the region.
With more than a decade of experience in operations and business development, Tony
has developed a hands-on understanding of the opportunities and challenges involved
in navigating LATAM’s fragmented payments ecosystem — from local acquiring and
alternative payment methods to cross-border settlement and payment orchestration.
His focus is on connecting global businesses with the right local infrastructure and
partners to make payments across Latin America more scalable, efficient, and
accessible.
